Holders stake HYPE with validators, who run HyperBFT consensus. Stakers earn rewards.

Cheaper trading

Staking HYPE lowers your trading fees on HyperCore.

Pays for gas

Every transaction on HyperEVM is paid for in HYPE.

Launches markets

Teams stake HYPE to deploy their own perp markets (HIP-3) and pay HYPE to list tokens (HIP-1).

Governs

Validators vote on protocol changes, weighted by the HYPE delegated to them.
